– A suspected car snatcher from the northern part of Nigeria has been arrested and paraded by the Nigeria police in Delta
– The surprising part of the issue is that the suspect is a dismissed soldier resident in the Tudun Wada area of Zaria
The Delta State Police command on Saturday, paraded a dismissed soldier who is a member of a car snatching syndicate that tours the Eastern states through to Abuja and Kaduna on a car snatching spree.
The dismissed soldier, identified as Corporal Sani Abubakar, resident in Tudun Wada, Zaria, Kaduna state with a Nigerian Army Identity card bearing his name and P/No 2005/NA/57/3561, was reportedly nabbed by the police when he appeared to escort a Toyota Avalon car from Benin to Kaduna.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zanna, said the prime suspect in the car snatching business, Stanley Vincent, 29, was arrested but confessed that the soldier was the one who assists the group in ferrying the stolen cars to Kaduna and Abuja.
